The Caddo Council on Aging, Mount Canaan Baptist Church, Friends in Unity Inc., and Commissioner Steven Jackson are teaming up to provide hot meals to local seniors during the Thanksgiving holiday. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to seniors across Shreveport & Caddo Parish. For many the holiday is a time for family and cheer but we know that many seniors may spend the holiday alone, or would not prepare a meal for themselves. “We are extremely thankful to our community for their willingness to help serve our seniors during the holiday season,” said Monica Wright Executive Director of the Caddo Council on Aging. Interested volunteers can sign up here

The group is seeking volunteers to help deliver meals throughout Caddo on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24, 2022). Students who participate will receive a letter to verify their participation for service project. Person under 18 years of age, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
